Simply Simone

Born in Mumbai and brought up in Dubai, Simone finished her schooling from Modern High School, Dubai and then went on to pursue her passion in fashion design, at the renowned Parsons School of Design, New York. After graduating as a Bachelor in Fine Art from Parsons, Simone added another feather to her cap with a stint at the London College of Fashion, specialising in the Business of Fashion and Textile Development.

Armed with experience and ideas, Simone launched the fashion label – Vibgyor, with her partner, which was invited to be a part of the LG Fashion Week at Toronto. The company then took part at the Dubai Fashion Week where Simone won the coveted Best Emerging Designer Award and was awarded a free runway show.

Simone’s forte remains her understanding of the play of colours and her richness of imagination. Simone draws her inspiration from the magical, mystical and supernatural elements of life, which together with her eye for colour, add vibrancy and an aura of surrealism to her garments. Each of Simone’s garments is a statement on its own, aimed at enhancing the quirkiness and individuality of those adorning them.
